TechCrunch April 22, 2014
From time to time we like to check in with the European tech blog scene to see what’s up. And there’s a significant update in the form of the news that Webrazzi, Turkey’s main tech startup news outlet, has sold 15% of its equity of Aslanoba Capital, a leading VC in Turkey. Terms were not disclosed, but the cash will be used to to expand Webrazzi’s operations outside of Turkey into the Eastern European and the MENA (Middle East, North Africa) regions.
Hasan Aslanoba, founder and the CEO of Aslanoba Capital, joins the board. The news is good for Arda Kutsal (pictured) the founder of the blog, who quickly became known as the ‘Arrington of Turkey’ after starting up in 2006.
