Invest in the only integrated producer of specialty steel parts with added value in southeastern EuropeThe Business
The Company is in the final phase of opening a recently refurbished and upgraded plant for the manufacture of forged and cast steel products based upon Vacuum Induction Degassing and Pouring (VIDP) for ingot steel manufacturing technology supplied by ALD Technologies of Germany. This specialty steel plant has an annual casting and melting capacity of 15,000 tons to produce 11,000 tons of ingot steel. The Company is a partnership of two businesses that will not only produce ingot steel but also forge and cast specialty steel products.
An Ajax Magnetotherm with two six-ton furnaces has been installed upstream from the VIDP furnace to produce liquid raw material with a pre-determined chemical composition and weight without impurities, which allows for a reduction in manufacturing duration by 30-40%, reduced costs and consumption of ferroalloys.
The management of the entire VIDP system is computerized and the production software indicates the most appropriate charge according to the ferroalloy employed. Finished products are delivered with quality certificates that include the chemical analysis, dimensional control, ultrasound control, macro and micro-determinations of structure using state-of-the art laboratory equipment.
Water is supplied from two 250m deep wells (250m) with two submersible pumps that supply two 100 m3 concrete tanks. Water is treated by a softening unit and reverse osmosis plant, and there is an industrial water regeneration plant.
Market
Plant infrastructure, equipment and machinery have been installed and cold testing has been completed. Hot testing is in process. The plant will be the only integrated producer of specialty steel parts with added value in southeastern Europe.
The Company is seeking a strategic or financial investment partner.
