Finance the manufacture of equipment that uses low-cost waste products to produce a cost- effective alternate to mineral diesel fuel
The Business
The Company plans to manufacture equipment that will produce synthetic diesel fuel from waste such as rubber, plastic, oil, fats, bitumen, tar, wood, rape, agricultural and textile waste using a patented and proprietary catalytic process technology that was developed in Germany. Some parts will be sourced from Germany, and the remaining parts will be produced in, and assembled in Lithuania. The Company will sell the equipment to customers in Germany, the Baltic republics, Russia and Ukraine under license from the patent holder. In addition to manufacturing equipment, the Company will also produce synthetic diesel fuel for sale to distributors and power generation customers.
Market
The Company has invested about € 2.0 million in equipment and a plant building. The total additional investment required is about €11.5m. Of that, €7.1m is expected to come from EU Structural Funds support and a bank loan of € 3.0m, leaving about €2.0 million of equity financing requirements. The Company is seeking the additional equity financing to complete its plans.
