According to sources, L Capital Asia, a private equity fund sponsored by France’s luxury brand giant LVMH Group, has agreed to an investment in Marubi Marubi, a Chinese domestic cosmetics brand, however the stake and the amount of the investment have not been disclosed. More details are to be announced at a press conference to be held in July.
Marubi will develop sales channels in individual shops and shopping malls. Marubi sales in 2012 were RMB3B (around $489M).
In mid-December 2011, LVMH made its first China investment when signed contract with Xin Hee Co., Ltd. and become its second share owner.
