Grishin Robotics has put a $250,000 infusion into Double Robotics, a start-up that’s making telepresence robots. Double Robotics is building a device that’s similar to a very small Segway, with an iPad placed on top. It can be controlled remotely so customers can interact with people or objects in another location through the video conferencing capabilities on another iPad. This is the first investment for the robotics-focused venture fund, from Mail.ru founder Dmitry Grishin.
