Recently, the price of gold has risen to an all-time high. The uncertainty in global markets has led investors to seek ways to reduce risk in their investment portfolios. The extraordinary monetary stimulus and ballooning budget deficits unleashed by the world’s central banks and governments in response to the financial crisis of 2008 has prompted investors to flood into hard assets and precious metals in particular. Many fear that governments will choose to deal with crushing debt burdens at the state and federal level by devaluing fiat (paper) currencies and reducing real debt costs through increased inflation. These factors, combined with increasing consumer demand for luxury items in China, India, and other emerging markets, bodes well for continued strengthening in the price of gold and other precious metals.
In order to increase its portfolio of mineral exploration projects, the Company is planning a future IPO. At this stage it is seeking to privately place shares to finance pre-IPO costs and other business development expenses.
