This Hospital, which is located in a major city 30 km from Amman, was one of the first private general hospitals in Jordan. It is a member of Jordan’s Private Hospital Association and has won numerous awards. The Hospital is sited on about 2,800 square meters of land, and has a building area is 6,500 square meters. It consists of nine floors, which accommodate 70 beds, and has more than 160 employees.
The Hospital has private wards, dentistry clinics, dialysis rooms (with twelve sets of apparatus), an outpatient clinic, four emergency rooms, and a maternity ward. It also has a comprehensive pharmacy, advanced radiology, a fully equipped lab, a nutrition unit, eight intensive care units, three operating theaters, laundry room, lecture room, and serviced cafeteria. There is a separate female-only floor. Service areas include a medical records section, warehouses, and an accounting division. In 2003, the Hospital was extensively refurbished and expanded to become one of the most advanced private hospitals in the city and surrounding area.
Market
The Hospital has direct settlement arrangements with corporations, major medical insurance companies, manufacturing plants, factories, and government organizations. It has current contracts with the Jordanian Ministry of Health (for health care insurance and kidney dialysis treatment), in addition to over 100 other business clients. The Hospital has stable and high profit margins, and an excellent reputation.
Jordan is known for its good healthcare services, and the Jordanian government has been promoting health care related tourism. Health care is more affordable in Jordan than neighboring countries.
The business is to be sold because the owner/founder is retiring.
