Tech startup LeadBrite has closed on a $5 million round of financing led by prominent venture firm Foundry Group. LeadBrite will use the Series A round to boost its staff and invest in product development, CEO Clay Collins said in an interview.
Arthur Ventures, a Fargo, N.D.-based venture firm with operations in Minneapolis, also participated in the round. The deal marks Colorado-based Foundry Group’s first investment in Minnesota. The firm’s portfolio companies include 3-D printing startup MakerBot Industries (recently sold to Stratasys) and mobile gaming company Zynga.
LeadBrite sells software, called LeadPages, that businesses use to build landing pages for their websites. Such pages are key to converting website visitors into customers. Examples include Web pages where consumers purchase a product or sign up to receive more information from salespeople.
